I am a sucker for a good before-and-after! It doesn’t matter if it’s a Wednesday Morning Make-Over on an audience member of the Today Show or a full lifestyle makeover from the FabFive of Queer Eye. This home renovation is going to amaze you!

If a home has good bones, you really can transform it into a beautiful space. This 8,000 square foot home hadn’t been touched since it was built in the early 80’s, and it was in desperate need of updating! 

Let’s start at the beginning, shall we? First impressions are everything, right? Check out this foyer transformation!

Before: Dated 80's Entryway

After: Bright Contemporary Entryway

Continuing on to the great room – removing the heavy wood paneling and dark Fieldstone cladding at the fireplace creates a beautiful light-filled backdrop to this family’s main hang-out space.

Before: The wood absorbs light, leaving it dark and small.

After: Simple white space that’s organized and light.

After: A neutral pallet can adapt to many statement colors.

Before: Bass accents leave a dated feel.

After: Dark statement pieces are classic.

Not only did the kitchen need an updating, but tweaking the layout really maximized the footprint of the space. By enlarging the island and relocating the refrigerator and range, we created a more workable kitchen.

Before: Old wood can condense a room.

After: Renovated to a rustic and simple theme with open spaces is organized and free of clutter.

Before: Close quarter cabinet space needs more room for organization.

Every family needs a properly functioning mudroom, especially a family of six!

Before: This mudroom with minimal light needs expanding.

After: Remodeled to organized, light, and spacious to eliminate clutter great for families

And the mudroom bath certainly had quite the update to. We were really sad to see the maroon tub and black toilet go!
